In short
A clinic or institute move is planned around treatment days: we move in the evening or at the weekend, the clinic's technician disconnects and calibrates, and we pack every device separately, move it on air-ride trucks and place it per the room plan. On the first morning the clinic opens as usual.
What is in a clinic or institute
- Ultrasound units on carts, with monitors and probes.
- Electric treatment chairs and couches.
- ECG machines, blood pressure monitors, spirometers and benchtop examination devices.
- Physiotherapy equipment: treatment beds, wave therapy devices and exercise bikes.
- Eye clinic equipment: slit lamps, measuring instruments and adjustable tables.
- An autoclave, a medication and vaccine fridge, furniture and the archive.
Before the move
- The clinic's technician disconnects devices that need professional disconnection and removes probes and delicate components.
- The clinic clears medication, vaccines and samples and moves them separately under refrigeration.
- Electric chairs and couches are lowered to their lowest position and unplugged.
- We get the new clinic's plan with a number for every room.
Packing and transport
Monitors and probes are padded and packed separately from the device. A unit on a cart travels strapped, with the wheels locked. A treatment chair travels wrapped, with the arms and lamp secured. Every item gets its room number, and the truck travels with air-ride suspension on a planned route.
Evening or weekend
A clinic that closes for a week loses a week of treatments. So the move is planned for an evening or a weekend: close after the last patient, move, and the next morning the equipment is in its rooms, ready to be connected.
In the new clinic
- Every device is placed in its room per the plan.
- Chairs and couches are positioned and levelled.
- The clinic's technician connects, calibrates and tests the devices before the first patient.
- The medication fridge is switched on first, so it reaches temperature before its contents go back in.
Customer responsibilities
Disconnection, connection, calibration and testing of devices are done by the clinic's technicians or equipment suppliers, under the customer's responsibility. If needed, we are happy to refer you to a qualified technician we know.
