In short

An archive is moved so every file can be found afterwards: sort and shred what is not needed, pack in shelf order, seal and label every box, move in a closed truck, and place on the new shelves in the same order.

Before packing

  • Sort: what moves, what is shredded and what goes to your external storage.
  • Decide on a number for every shelf and cabinet.
  • Appoint someone on your side who knows the archive.

Packing

  • Pack in shelf order, shelf by shelf.
  • Each box gets a number and a description: cabinet, shelf and contents.
  • Strong boxes of one size, not overfilled so they do not collapse.
  • Sensitive documents in boxes sealed with tape, optionally with a signed label.

The move

Boxes travel in a closed truck and are counted at loading and unloading with your contact person, so you know every box arrived.

At the new office

Boxes are set next to the new shelves by the same numbering and arranged in the original order. We can shelve them ourselves or leave it to your team.
