In short

Workstations are taken apart in a fixed order: remove monitors and computers, label every part with the desk number, bag screws and tape the bag to the part, and reassemble in the new building per the floor plan. Sit-stand desks travel in the low position with the motor secured.

Before disassembly

  • Get the new floor plan with a number for each desk.
  • Each employee clears drawers and packs personal items.
  • The IT team disconnects computers and monitors and labels cables.

Disassembly order

  • Remove monitors and monitor arms and pack them separately.
  • Take apart partitions and desks, and give every part the desk number.
  • Screws and small parts go into a bag taped to the matching part.
  • Chairs travel whole, wrapped and labelled.

Sit-stand desks

An electric desk is lowered before it is unplugged, its cables and motor are secured, and it travels as intact as possible. If it must be taken apart, follow the manufacturer's instructions.

Reassembly in the new building

Furniture is placed per the floor plan, desks and partitions are reassembled, and each employee's boxes are set at their desk. The IT team connects the computers, and on the first working day every desk is ready.
