In short
The Kiryat Weizmann Science Park, on the border between Rehovot and Ness Ziona, is home to biotech, pharma, medical device and hi-tech companies. Most moves here are by growing companies: from one lab to a whole floor, to another building in the park, or to a larger site. Our base is in Rehovot, a few minutes from the park, and we move the lab, the offices and the server room as one project.
A company move, not just a lab move
In a biotech company the lab is only part of the move. There are also offices, meeting rooms and a server room, and sometimes a clean room or a small production area. When everything is planned as one project, with a clear moving order and dates, the company stops for only a short time.
What we move in the park
- Lab benches, fume hoods and safety cabinets.
- −80 °C freezers, incubators and refrigerators, in a cold chain.
- Analytical instruments: HPLC, spectrometers, PCR and microscopes.
- Offices, workstations and the server room.
- Archives and consumables.
How to shorten downtime
- Move what is not in daily use first: archives, backup equipment and furniture.
- Move the lab over a weekend, or in phases by team.
- The server room moves in the shutdown and start-up order set by the IT team.
- Critical instruments move last, once the new lab is ready.
Building access
Before the move we check both buildings: where the truck stops, whether there is a loading ramp, the size of the service elevator and the doors, and the floor load for heavy equipment. If a large instrument does not fit in the elevator, we plan a crane lift in advance.
Customer responsibilities
Disconnecting and connecting gas, water and power, instrument calibration and biosafety cabinet certification are done by the customer's technicians or contractors. If needed, we are happy to refer you to a qualified technician we know.
